Congo Trip

Cam first went to Congo to hunt in 1997.  This turned out to be a most interesting year, as while he was in the bush, a military coup took place and Cam was isolated in the northern part of Congo for several weeks waiting for the fighting to subside.  After two weeks of inactivity Cam found a local guide who said he knew the way through the inundated forest surrounding Impfondo, so Cam left everything behind and took off.

Using Canoes, mostly walking and eventually hitchhiking, Cam made his way 1000 mile across Central Africa to Douala in Cameroon and eventually home.  It was while crossing the vast expanse of Congo that Cam discovered a country ripe for exploration, and Cam has subsequently led six + major expeditions to Congo.  These explorations include looking for the famous Congo dinosaur, as noted in National Geographic, as well as reaching colossal "bais" in the jungle where the B'Aka pygmies told him no foreigners have ever been.

Cam will personally guide hunting or just pure exploration trips to this undiscovered country on a custom basis.  Just get a hold of him.   You must have a big appetite for adventure as well as a high tolerance for risk.It is recommended you finish a couple self-guided trips in Cameroon as a warm up first.
